The originating mission of the Caribou Fire Department was to protect life and property of the citizens of Caribou, ME through the efforts of fire suppression.

Today, that mission continues to be the focus of our efforts. Our wide array of Fire Apparatus allows us to be equally effective in fighting fires both in town as well as the many rural areas in our coverage district.

Through constantly evolving training cirriculums, Caribou Firefighters are always training to be prepared to fight fires in a range of buildings including new and old construction.

Serving Caribou, Connor Twp., New Sweden, Westmanland and Woodland, Caribou's trained personnel continue to strive to fulfil our mission of protecting life and property.
